Reviews and Ratings
The hotel exceeded my expectations with its charming rooms that were immaculately clean, although I was surprised they lacked an open fire. The service was exceptional, with a complimentary glass of bubbly for our anniversary. The location was fabulous, and I enjoyed the extensive dining options available. While I missed having an open fire in the room, overall, it was a fantastic stay.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were gorgeous, very romantic, and huge with a nice view available on request, but they were stuffy with no air conditioning or fan option. The service was top-notch, with the staff being very accommodating and friendly, making my interactions pleasant and memorable. The location was well maintained for this time of year, but some aspects were not cleaned properly, indicating areas for improvement. The dining experience had some highs and lows, with excellent selection and friendly staff but with some disappointments in terms of the dining setting. The facilities were adequate, providing basic necessities without any standout features.
I was pleasantly surprised by the huge room with a wonderful old 4-poster bed that overlooked the gorgeous courtyard garden. However, the basic amenities were a bit of a letdown given the price. The room was impeccably clean and spacious, though.
The hotel provided a clean and quiet room, though a bit cold at times. It was very comfortable and cozy, conveniently located within walking distance to the hotel at night. However, the courtyard was freezing cold, and the supposed deluxe room had two single beds pushed together.
I stayed in a cottage-style building at the back of the hotel, which made me feel a bit isolated. Despite not being in the main castle, the room was too warm even with the radiators off, so I had to keep the windows open all night. The staff, however, were incredibly welcoming and even surprised us with a complimentary glass of bubbly for our anniversary.
The hotel offers rooms with 2/3 star facilities at best, smaller than other rooms, and with varying temperatures due to heating issues. However, the service is attentive and friendly, with staff going the extra mile. The location is stunning with beautiful walks but lacks some expected selections. The dining experience, while lovely, could improve its service quality. Overall, the facilities provide a peaceful setting with room for enhancement in certain areas.
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms were spacious and of a high standard, which was great. However, I found the room to be very basic and a disappointment for the price. The service was top-notch, with lovely, very helpful, professional, and friendly staff; however, the dining was not as good as expected. The location was brilliant, but there were minor issues with the dining experience. The facilities were adequate, but could use some improvement.
