The hotel exceeded my expectations with its charming rooms that were immaculately clean, although I was surprised they lacked an open fire. The service was exceptional, with a complimentary glass of bubbly for our anniversary. The location was fabulous, and I enjoyed the extensive dining options available. While I missed having an open fire in the room, overall, it was a fantastic stay.

I stayed in a cottage-style building at the back of the hotel, which made me feel a bit isolated. Despite not being in the main castle, the room was too warm even with the radiators off, so I had to keep the windows open all night.
